Rate Your Home Builder: Constructive Feedback Service for Contractors

Tim Costello, CEO of BDX

HOUSTON – (By Dale King, Realty News Report) – A new online rating platform gives homebuyers a place to post honest, transparent reviews about the builder who constructed their home, according to the company’s CEO.

Prospective buyers searching for a builder can now consult feedback from people who have already experienced the process, offering valuable firsthand insight.

Builders Digital Experience (BDX), a provider of marketing and technology solutions for the homebuilding industry, recently launched the TrustBuilder program to collect and share verified ratings and reviews.

Hosted on NewHomeSource.com, TrustBuilder features evaluations submitted by actual homeowners detailing their buying and building experiences.

“The program creates the leading destination for homebuyer reviews that are independent, transparent and credible, delivering a more complete and accurate representation of buyer sentiment,” said Tim Costello, CEO of BDX.

“Last year we set out to change how buyers gather information while shopping for new homes,” Costello added. “We know 93% of consumers read product reviews before making an online purchase, and products with reviews typically see increased sales.”

Allan Merrill, president and CEO of Beazer Homes, which operates across the Houston area and in Florida, commented in the BDX news release.

“We are proud to support TrustBuilder, the only source of ratings and reviews from fully verified new home buyers,” Merrill said. “By providing access to reviews from known new homeowners, TrustBuilder should become an integral part of the new home shopping process and a credible demonstration of our commitment to delivering an excellent homebuying experience.”

Realty News Report contacted several other builders for reaction; they declined to comment.
