HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Three new retail tenants—Fusion Eats, Green Lane Co., and Michael Saldana Salon—have signed leases at Greenway Plaza, a prominent mixed-use development inside Houston’s Inner Loop.
Greenway Plaza covers 52 acres and includes 11 office buildings totaling approximately 4.9 million square feet, along with supporting retail and amenities near the Southwest Freeway and Buffalo Speedway. Last October, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board gained control of Greenway Plaza through its $1.2 billion acquisition of Parkway Inc.
“With these three retail leases, Parkway is thoughtfully shaping a dynamic environment that we believe businesses will increasingly seek to provide an optimal workplace experience for employees,” said Mike Fransen, COO of Parkway. “We expect these new retail additions to benefit both Greenway Plaza tenants and the surrounding community.”
Tom Havron of Newmark Knight Frank represented Parkway in all three transactions. The combined leases total about 4,700 square feet, and the new retail spaces are scheduled to open in early 2018.
Fusion Eats is a spin-off of Fusion Taco, a Heights-based concept owned by Julia Sharaby. Green Lane Co.’s Greenway Plaza location will be the fourth for owners Joey and Luchi Figueroa. Michael Saldana Salon will add to the center’s service offerings for on-site office workers and nearby residents.
