AUSTIN – (Realty News Report) — STG Design, an architecture, interiors, and planning firm, has announced that Sandra M. Parét has been named Chief Executive Officer. She is one of only a few women to lead a firm ranked among the nation’s top 100 architecture practices.
STG Design is recognized for its design of Oracle’s urban Austin waterfront campus. The award-winning, 560,000-square-foot project, completed in 2018, became Oracle’s headquarters when the company relocated from California, a move that drew national attention. STG Design is also poised to work on Oracle’s proposed hub office in Nashville.
Parét steps into the CEO role after a career advising major companies with complex real estate portfolios and developing workplace strategies worldwide for respected design firms.
“After Zweig Group conducted a diligent national search, Sandra stood out as the ideal person to lead STG Design’s transition to the next generation of leadership,” said Jim Susman, STG Design Chairman. “She brings a deep understanding of the needs and ambitions of the world’s most progressive, future-focused companies. She’s also approachable and down-to-earth. The search committee found both a cultural fit and strong potential for positive evolution.”

Before joining STG Design, Parét served as Senior Vice President at AECOM, where she was Global Commercial and Corporate Market Sector practice director. In that role she managed practice operations, collaborated with regional leadership to match AECOM talent to client needs, and oversaw business line operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and intercompany collaboration.
Parét also led account delivery and resourcing strategies, including initiatives to attract and retain diverse talent.
During an 18-year tenure at HOK, Parét held several leadership positions, including Managing Principal of the Dallas office and Global Strategic Accounts lead for corporate clients. In those roles she connected geographic teams and talent to advance projects across client real estate portfolios. She holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
Founded in 1976, STG Design serves clients nationally and internationally from primary offices in Austin and Nashville.
STG is collaborating with Pelli Clarke Pelli on Block 185, a new building developed by Trammell Crow for a single tenant, Google. The 800,000-square-foot project sits on the banks of Lady Bird Lake, a couple of blocks west of Congress Avenue.
STG Design provides architecture and planning services across multiple sectors, including multifamily, commercial, research and development, nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, and hospitality. The firm’s portfolio includes work for Trammell Crow Company, Karlin Real Estate, Oracle, Apple, Google, Dell Technologies, Box, Indeed, NI (formerly National Instruments), RetailMeNot, LCRA, Pulte, Del Webb, 3M, American Campus Communities, and The University of Texas.
