C Baldwin Hotel in Downtown Houston Adds Two Retail Tenants
HOUSTON — C Baldwin, a Curio Collection by Hilton property located in Allen Center in downtown Houston, has announced two new retail additions: Sloan/Hall, a boutique specializing in carefully curated lifestyle goods, and Paloma, a clean-beauty salon. These retailers will join the hotel as part of a broader renovation and repositioning of the property.
The hotel is currently operating as the DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Downtown Hotel while undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation led by Brookfield, the owner of Allen Center. The 354-room property sits at 400 Dallas Street on the northwest edge of Allen Center and is scheduled to relaunch as C Baldwin this summer.
Sloan/Hall and Paloma are expected to open in September. Sloan/Hall will occupy roughly 600 square feet and will be located on one side of the newly redesigned lobby, while Paloma, a beauty destination known for its clean, non-toxic products and services, will take just under 1,300 square feet on the opposite side. The lobby itself was redesigned by Rottet Studio to provide a stylish, welcoming centerpiece for the hotel and its retail offerings.
Curio Collection by Hilton is an upper-upscale brand that features a global portfolio of independently distinctive hotels and resorts, offering more than 65 one-of-a-kind properties worldwide. The addition of Sloan/Hall and Paloma reflects the hotel’s focus on elevating guest experiences with unique retail and lifestyle amenities as part of its transformation.
The expansion of retail within the hotel aligns with broader trends in hospitality where curated shopping and wellness-focused services are integrated to create memorable, locally inspired stays. By bringing in boutique and beauty tenants, C Baldwin aims to serve hotel guests and local residents alike, enhancing the mixed-use character of Allen Center.
As the property prepares to rebrand and reopen under the Curio Collection this summer, these new retail tenants are positioned to contribute to a refreshed, contemporary atmosphere that underscores the hotel’s new identity and its commitment to elevated design and service.
