Manhattan Life Acquires Office Building in Northwest Houston
NW Houston building purchased.
HOUSTON – ManhattanLife has acquired the office building at 13831 Northwest Freeway in Houston.
Jon Silberman, managing partner at NAI Partners, handled the sale. Jim Tainter, head of NAI’s landlord services division, will manage leasing and property operations for the 151,835-square-foot building.
The seller, Houston-based Boxer Property, was represented in the transaction by Jay Nowlin.
ManhattanLife’s headquarters are located nearby at 10777 Northwest Freeway. That facility is also leased and managed by NAI Partners.
“One of the most important aspects of being in this business are the relationships you develop,” Silberman said. “I’ve been fortunate to complete several transactions for ManhattanLife over the years, and it’s gratifying to continue our strong business relationship by locating an off-market investment property in an ideal submarket for the company.”
ManhattanLife comprises four operating life and health insurance companies: Manhattan Life Insurance Company, ManhattanLife Assurance Company of America, Western United Life Assurance Company, and Family Life Insurance Company.
