HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – CBRE has promoted Peter Mainguy to Senior Managing Director and Market Leader for its Houston office. In this role, Mainguy will oversee all Advisory Services lines of business and lead strategic initiatives to drive growth across the Houston market.

Mainguy brings 14 years of commercial real estate experience to the position. He previously served as CBRE’s Managing Director for Occupier Services in Houston.

He will continue to lead CBRE’s Occupier Services business in Houston, a role he has held successfully since 2017. In his expanded position, Mainguy will collaborate closely with Mark Taylor, Senior Managing Director for Investor Services, who will keep leading investor leasing, capital markets and property management business lines for the firm.

“Peter’s diverse background makes him the ideal leader to build on the success of our Houston business,” said Michael Caffey, CBRE’s President, South-Central Division and Latin America. “His experience leading our occupier practice, combined with a decade in brokerage and time spent on the client side, uniquely positions him for this role. I’m confident our people and our business will thrive under his leadership.”

Before returning to CBRE, Mainguy served as head of global real estate for Sysco Corp., managing the company’s 46-million-square-foot portfolio across North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to his corporate role, he was a successful industrial and land broker with CBRE.

“With our unmatched platform and market-leading professionals, we are very well positioned to continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients,” Mainguy said.

Mainguy holds a degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
