Retailers added at 400-Acre Texas Center

In New Braunfels, Texas, New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside, a 400-acre multi-use development along Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio, has added new retail tenants and more are on the way.
Houston-based NewQuest reported the openings of CAVA and Potbelly in a brand new fully-leased building, which will also house Chipotle, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and Blo Blow Dry Bar. Additionally, Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank have started work on new buildings nearby, with completions planned in the second quarter.
Located at Interstate 35 and FM 306, New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside contains 1 million SF of built retail space and is 97% leased. NewQuest plans to add another 100,000 SF on the southeastern corner of the development, near FM 306 and Sophie Lane.
The development, which has recorded 6.9 million visits in the past year as stated by Placer.ai, is home to Sprouts Farmers Market, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Target, JCPenney, BJ’s Brewhouse, EVO Entertainment, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, to name a few. Kevin Sims and Nick Ramsey of NewQuest handle leasing at the project.
“Creekside historically has attracted strong brands and category leaders,” Sims says. “That continues to be the case with the final phase of construction.”
NewQuest is developing several other grand scale projects in Texas. Initial retailers recently opened at Texas Heritage Marketplace in Katy. The company is developing Seguin Exchange, a 544-acre multi-use development at I-10 and TX 46 in Seguin and is partnering with Lovett on an industrial campus there.
