HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Giorgetti Houston — a seven-story boutique mid-rise condominium carrying the name of the acclaimed Italian furniture maker — has officially opened.
The building contains 32 residences with prices ranging from $1.9 million to $4.3 million.
Developed by Stolz Partners, the condominiums are located at 2710 Steele Street near Kirby Drive, just south of the prestigious River Oaks neighborhood.
The Giorgetti Houston project marks the first collaboration between Giorgetti, the renowned Italian furnishings house; Stolz Partners, a seasoned Georgia-based real estate development and investment firm; Mirador Group, a Houston-based architecture and interior design studio; and Douglas Elliman, a major residential real estate brokerage.
Italian Furniture Maker Shapes Complete Residential Environment
Giorgetti designed the interior environment for every residence, providing kitchens and outdoor cabinetry, wall paneling, lighting, carpets, closets, woodwork, furnishings and a sculptural wood art installation at each home’s exterior entrance. Many elements were handcrafted in Italy by Giorgetti’s artisans, several of whom are also trained architects. The 32 homes range from approximately 2,700 square feet to 6,800 square feet for one of the four penthouses. Ceiling heights range from 10 to 12 feet, and balconies measure between 500 and 2,000 square feet.
Founded 122 years ago and based in Meda, Italy, Giorgetti is widely regarded as one of the world’s premier cabinet and furniture makers.
“The design ethos of Giorgetti is based on exclusivity and atypical uniqueness. Each piece contributes towards defining space, becoming part of a complex, harmonious and extraordinary whole,” said Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO of Giorgetti. “With our partners, we share the same passion, vision and love for the brand and for the interior environment that we are able to create and express.”
Giorgetti has produced custom furnishings for private residences of celebrities, showrooms, luxury cruise ships and high-end hotels worldwide, including the penthouse at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
“Giorgetti is a remarkable Italian company that creates beautiful objects, and Giorgetti Houston reflects that craftsmanship and vision,” said Will Stolz, whose Stolz Partners developed and owns the project.
“Each residence is like an original work of art,” said Jacob Sudhoff, CEO of Douglas Elliman Texas.
Mirador Group served as architect for the new building. Jerry Hooker, a principal at Mirador Group, said, “Our goal throughout the design process was to ensure the Giorgetti culture is alive in each home as well as in the common spaces.”
E.E. Reed Construction served as the general contractor for a project that broke ground in May 2018. Interior design was a collaboration between Giorgetti and Mirador Group.
Stolz Partners previously developed The Sophie at Bayou Bend condominiums near Houston’s Memorial Park.
