HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Fein Multifamily Development Company has completed a 332-unit garden-style apartment community near the new global headquarters of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Fein’s The Canopy at Springwoods Village is located within Springwoods Village, a $10 billion, 1,800-acre mixed-use community along the west side of Interstate 45 between Springwoods Village Parkway and Grand Parkway.
The Canopy provides bike-trail access to Springwoods Village’s major employment centers, including ExxonMobil, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ABS, Southwestern Energy and the CHI St. Luke’s medical campus. It also sits close to the future HPE headquarters, a 440,000-square-foot office project currently under construction. HPE’s relocation of its headquarters from California to Houston drew national attention.
The Canopy sits on a 17.44-acre parcel purchased from CDC Houston, the developer of Springwoods Village.
The two- and three-story upscale apartment community was designed by Steinberg Dickey Collaborative and built by Westchase Construction. It offers a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, as well as several one- and three-bedroom townhomes. Unit sizes range from 552 to 1,705 square feet. Monthly rents start below $1,000 and go up to $2,170, with some opening specials available.
Amenities at The Canopy include a reflection garden featuring an Edward Lee Hendricks public art sculpture and a canopy of mature trees, plus a resort-style pool with sun shelves and poolside cabanas. These amenities overlook a central 1.5-acre lake with an adjacent walk/jog trail.
This is Fein’s third multifamily project in Springwoods Village. Previously the firm developed The Mark at Springwoods Village CityPlace, a 268-unit, six-story concrete-and-steel wrap at 1600 Springwoods Plaza Drive, and The Belvedere in Springwoods Village, a 342-unit, five-story wood-frame wrap at 2323 East Mossy Oaks Road.
Earlier this year, Fein sold The Belvedere at Springwoods Village to MLG Capital of Wisconsin.
