Law Firm Signs Lease for Office Space at 1100 Louisiana Street

The 1100 Louisiana building in downtown Houston was developed by Hines.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – King & Spalding LLP has renewed its long-term office lease at 1100 Louisiana, a Class A office tower in downtown Houston totaling 1,265,332 square feet.

King & Spalding occupies multiple floors at 1100 Louisiana and has been a tenant in the building since 1995. The firm employs more than 1,000 lawyers across 20 offices worldwide.

“1100 Louisiana remains a highly desirable location within the central business district, competing effectively with newer office developments,” said Chip Colvill of Colvill Office Properties, which manages leasing for the building. “We are thrilled that a prestigious international law firm chose to renew its lease — a strong endorsement of the building and its ownership.”

Tim Relyea of Cushman & Wakefield represented King & Spalding in the renewal. Chip Colvill and Paula Bruns of Colvill Office Properties represented the building’s owner, Fantome Tower, LP. Hines serves as the property manager.

The 55-story tower was recognized in 2017 by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) with the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award in the Over 1 Million SF regional category. The building has also maintained LEED Gold certification since 2009.
