Rendering of Spring Plaza, a retail center under development near Springwoods Village.
HOUSTON – Construction has begun on Spring Plaza, a new retail center at the corner of Spring Stuebner Road and Spring Plaza Drive on Houston’s north side.
Capital Retail Properties is handling leasing for the 13,000-square-foot center, which was designed by CDA Architects.
Located south of the Grand Parkway and west of Interstate 45, the center sits near the Springwoods Village master-planned community and the 3 million-square-foot ExxonMobil campus.
“We’re thrilled to be part of the phenomenal growth that is changing the face of Spring and excited to bring more retail and dining choices to support adjacent Springwoods Village, as well as the neighboring apartment complexes abutting this property,” said Anderson Smith, partner at Capital Retail Properties.
The project is scheduled for completion in November.
More than half of the retail space has already been committed. Capital Retail Properties is represented by Anderson Smith and Connor Lynch. Tenants confirmed so far include:
Smoothie King — 1,360 square feet; represented by Greg Slusky of Sluco Realty Services.
Wingstop — 1,760 square feet; represented by Eddie Lang of Quenby Commercial.
Veterinary clinic A Couple of Vets — 3,400 square feet; represented by Patrick Valentz of Xite Realty.
These early leases reflect demand for food-and-beverage and service-oriented tenants to serve the growing population and employment base in the Springwoods Village area.
