Wet Sounds Begins Construction on New Houston-Area Audio Facility

ROSENBERG, Texas – (Realty News Report) – Wet Sounds, a manufacturer of high-performance marine and powersports audio systems, has announced plans to build a new facility in Rosenberg. The project will create 118,386 square feet of combined warehouse, fabrication and office space.

Designed and to be built by Houston-based KDW, the new Wet Sounds facility will sit on a 27-acre parcel at 2975 Louise Street, roughly one mile north of the Southwest Freeway (Highway 59).

“Wet Sounds will bring significant capital investment to the tax rolls and create 40 to 50 high-paying jobs,” said Rosenberg Mayor William Benton. “It is a first-class company. We are honored to have them here in Rosenberg and greatly look forward to working with them.”

The property, near Airport Avenue, has been master planned to accommodate up to 280,000 square feet of future development.

Founded in 2005, Wet Sounds produces premium marine and powersports amplifiers, soundbars and subwoofers. The company also offers audio-powered coolers and a range of accessories.

Construction on the new Rosenberg facility and an adjacent warehouse is expected to begin in August, with project completion anticipated in spring 2021.

Wet Sounds is currently based in southwest Houston and employs 45 staff across warehouse, fabrication and office roles.

This project is part of ongoing expansion to the southwest of Houston into Fort Bend County, where growth is spreading beyond Sugar Land. As Sugar Land reaches capacity for new development, residential and industrial growth is increasing in the Rosenberg–Richmond market, where both cities recently secured major economic development projects.

Rosenberg will soon welcome a Dollar Tree distribution center of approximately 1 million square feet. Less than four miles away in Richmond, Trammell Crow Company is developing an 850,000-square-foot e-commerce fulfillment center for Amazon, a project expected to create around 1,000 jobs.
