FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – (Realty News Report) – D’Agostino Companies is developing The Reserve at Baybrook, a 291-unit apartment community adjacent to Baybrook Mall on Houston’s southeast side.
Based in Houston, D’Agostino Companies has historically focused on office, retail and medical office projects before expanding into multifamily development. This is the company’s second multifamily project since launching its multifamily division in May 2018 with the hiring of Greg Talbert.
D’Agostino acquired the Baybrook site in July 2020 from Finwood Properties Co., which was managed by CDC Houston, a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corp. of New York.
JLL’s Chris Bergmann Jr. represented D’Agostino in the off-market land acquisition; the seller did not have representation. Oden Hughes was selected as general contractor and construction began in late December. The project is scheduled to open in May 2022.
“The barriers to entry, limited new supply, access to employment, convenient proximity to retail, restaurants and entertainment, strong schools and a robust local employment base are what attracted us to this site,” said Greg Talbert, president of D’Agostino Companies’ multifamily division.
The property is located within Clear Creek Independent School District and sits adjacent to a new Life Time Fitness and the Baybrook Mall, which recently completed a 500,000-square-foot expansion that added an open-air lifestyle center and central green space.
The Reserve at Baybrook will offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 921 square feet. Apartment interiors will include 10-foot ceilings, wood-style flooring, stone countertops, tile backsplashes, custom 42-inch cabinetry, and full-size washers and dryers. Community amenities will feature a resort-style pool, outdoor dining and entertainment areas, a clubhouse with a premier fitness center, and a golf simulator room.
D’Agostino Companies also has three additional developments in the planning stages across Texas and Florida.
