Housing Starts in 2018; Houston was No. 2: Dallas Led Nation

In Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth led the nation last year with 34,750 single-family home starts, as stated by Metrostudy.

Houston ranked No. 2 with 30,146 starts in 2018, up 10.4 percent from 2017, Metrostudy reported. The Central Florida market was third with 28,074.

Austin ranked ninth in the nation with 16,424 home starts. San Antonio was thirteenth with 11,748.
