Downtown Houston Office Lease Signed by Major Law Firm

The Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom law firm has expanded its lease in downtown Houston’s historic Esperson Building.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) — The Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom law firm has renewed and expanded its lease in downtown Houston’s historic Esperson Building.

The firm will occupy approximately 42,000 square feet, according to Newmark Knight Frank.

Previously, the tenant’s space totaled about 39,000 square feet and was spread across floors 17–20. For this renewal, the firm reorganized its layout, consolidating from a four-floor footprint into a more efficient two-floor configuration.

Newmark Knight Frank’s Vice Chairman Reginald Beavan III and Managing Director Joshua Brown represented the Texas-based law firm in the lease renewal. Cameron Management represented the landlord.

“Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom has been a tenant of the Esperson Building since the firm was founded in 2000. After a positive experience with NKF on our last renewal, we trusted them to provide the insight needed to consolidate our space creatively and improve efficiencies,” said David Disiere, Managing Partner at Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom.

Besides its headquarters in the Esperson Building, the firm maintains offices in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.

The 32-story Esperson Building, completed in 1927, is the only full example of Italian Renaissance architecture in downtown Houston and was long a dominant feature of the skyline. In 1941, the building was joined to the 19-story Art Deco Mellie Tower, creating a distinctive, connected complex that features tunnels to downtown.

Cameron Management, founded in 1995, is a Houston-based commercial real estate firm.
