Pearland’s Ivy District site was once the location of a proposed WaterLights District, which was envisioned as a multi-use development that featured oversized 20-foot-tall busts of U.S. Presidents by sculptor David Adickes. Several of the presidential sculptures were on the land before it was purchased by American Modern Green.
The new apartment complex is located just south of Beltway 8 at 1466 Ivy Park Terrace in Pearland, which is located on the south side of Houston. Ivy Lofts offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 480 to 1,280 SF.
In a press release, the developer said the Ivy District “will eventually have retail and office space, along with single- and multi-family living options.” The land has been under development for a number of years and the Sueba multifamily is the first vertical development.
A couple of years ago, NewQuest had been considering construction of multifamily on a site just north of the new Sueba apartments.
