CONCORD, Calif. – Hines, together with investment partner MetLife Investment Management, has begun construction on The Grant, a mixed-use development featuring 228 apartment homes in northern California.
Located on two adjacent blocks in downtown Concord, the project sits within walking distance of the Concord BART station and Todos Santos Plaza, the city’s commercial and historic core. Its central location offers easy transit access and proximity to retail, dining, and civic amenities.
Hines has brought together an experienced design and construction team for The Grant. Architects Orange serves as design and landscape architect, Haven Design Studio is responsible for interior design, and Brown Construction will be the general contractor. The development team has emphasized safety on site; acknowledging the ongoing impact of COVID-19, Brown Construction will implement health and safety protocols to protect workers and the community during construction.
Hines and MetLife Investment Management have an established partnership and have collaborated on numerous developments across the country. Their combined experience in multifamily and mixed-use projects will guide The Grant from construction through lease-up.
