HOUSTON – Adair Concepts, a Houston-based restaurant group, will open a new restaurant in the 71-story Wells Fargo Plaza at 1000 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston.

The new venue will serve breakfast and lunch, offer small plates, and present a curated selection of premier wines, spirits and signature craft cocktails in the afternoons. The restaurant will occupy 4,628 square feet, was designed in collaboration with Gensler and McGarr Design & Interiors, and will operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Adair Concepts is led by siblings Nick Adair and Katie Adair Barnhart. The group’s existing concepts include Adair Kitchen in the Galleria area, Eloise Nichols Grill & Liquors, and Bebidas, Houston’s first all-day cafe. In January 2018, Adair Concepts assumed management of Skeeters Mesquite Grill and Los Tios Mexican Restaurants—part of the Adair Family Restaurants portfolio founded by their father, Gary Adair, with the opening of Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill in 1988.

“This is a significant addition to Wells Fargo Plaza and unique to the Central Business District. Our goal in adding this amenity was to give tenants and nearby workers a welcoming place to meet clients for coffee, lunch or a cocktail. We want this to be the premier downtown destination to meet a client or to celebrate milestones, from a promotion to the closing of a major transaction. The Adair family has a well-established reputation and will be an excellent fit for this location,” said CBRE Senior Vice President Marilyn Guion.

CBRE’s Dave Hanusa and Marilyn Guion serve as the exclusive leasing representatives for Wells Fargo Plaza, and CBRE also manages the property. Notable building tenants include Wells Fargo Bank, PwC and several AMLAW 100 law firms.

The 1.7 million-square-foot Wells Fargo Plaza, which opened in 1983, was developed by Century Development and is currently owned by a MetLife joint venture.

CBRE also recently announced that the Sidley Austin law firm leased an additional 30,000 square feet in the tower, expanding its presence to 80,000 square feet in the building.
