Million to Upgrade Tower: MetroNational Spending $9

MetroNational Spending $9 Million to Upgrade Tower

In Houston, MetroNational, a Houston-based real estate development and investment company, is starting $9.1 million renovation of its office building at 9821 Katy Freeway.

The 161,200-SF, Class A office building is located in the Memorial area where MetroNational’s 300-acre Memorial City multi-use development is located.

Construction will occur in phases to minimize disruption. Phase I is set to include the skybridge and surrounding landscape and hardscape, followed by Phase II, addressing the exterior curtain wall, primary entrances, and additional outdoor improvements.

The 9821 Katy Freeway renovation will deliver a reimagined lobby, a 40-person training room, wellness and mothers’ rooms, and other improvements. Renovations are slated to be completed in 2026.

“The 9821 Katy Freeway renovation represents MetroNational’s investment in office building amenities our tenants truly value,” said Anne Marie Ratliff, VP Asset Management of MetroNational. “We are relentless in delivering elevated, service-driven environments fostering connection, flexibility, and wellness, key elements supporting the long-term success of our tenants.”

Last fall, MetroNational purchased the 309,144-SF retail component of the CityCentre multi-use development in West Houston. Developed by the Midway company, CityCentre, located at the southeast corner of Interstate 10 and Beltway 8, is a 47-acre, pedestrian-oriented development.
