The Energy Corridor: Multifamily Work start

In Houston, OHT Partners has started work on Park Row, a 360-unit apartment project in the burgeoning Energy Corridor area of Houston.
Situated on a site with nearly 14 acres at 14192 Park Row Blvd., Park Row will be located near the Katy Freeway, less than 20 miles west of downtown Houston.
One and two-bedroom units will range in size from 702 to 1,257 sq ft in a three-story community.
“Everything about Park Row is meant to serve a working professional that wants to live in a well-located, modern, elevated community,” said Jackson Simons, Principal with OHT Partners.
Simons adds the Energy Corridor has not delivered a low-density garden design in many years. Park Row will be one of the newest and nicest rental options in the area, offering expansive outdoor amenities with convenient surface parking that cannot be replicated in a high-density environment.
Together, Houston’s Energy Corridor and the adjacent Katy Freeway submarket have more than 27 million sq ft of space, as stated by a recent market report from CBRE. Major corporations such as BP, ConocoPhillips, Flour Daniels, Baker Hughes and Enbridge are all located within the submarket, with the Katy Freeway area commanding the highest office rental rates in the entire metro area.
The Energy Corridor is near Interstate 10 and Highway 6. The new Park Row apartments feature direct access to Terry Hershey Park and its hike and bike trails.
Firms involved in developing the Park Row apartments include;
- General Contractor: OHT Partners
- Architect: Meeks+ Partners
- Civil Engineer: QuiddityEngineers
- Structural Engineer: UnitedStructural Consultants
- MEP Consultant: CFI Companies
- Landscape Architect: Blu Fish Collaborative
- Interior Designer: Ellie Aiello Interiors
Austin-based OHT Partners continues to grow its presence in Houston and across the Lone Star State, it recently named eight, additional new principals, including two based in the Houston office, namely Jackson Simons, overseeing real estate, and Thomas Terwilliger, overseeing construction. The eight new principals join company co-founders Steve Oden and Eric Taylor in leading the future of the firm, which has developed 60,000 units.
