The Galleria area: New Office Tower to Rise

In Houston, Broadview Real Estate, a division of Broadview Capital, unveiled plans for O27, a proposed 32-story office tower on Westheimer, just inside Loop 610 and down the street from the River Oaks District.
Designed by Austin-based STG Design, the building will encompass more than 520,000 SF of next-generation office space in Uptown targeting global, national, and local companies. Completion is anticipated in 2028.
Named for its prestigious ZIP code associated with luxury and commerce, O27 is proposed to be built on a 1.66-acre site at 4701 Westheimer near the Afton Oaks neighborhood. It is across from the soon to open Greenleigh, a redevelopment of the former Hotel Derek, and down the street from Highland Village shopping center. The O27 building site currently houses a former Extended Stay America hotel, which closed last year. Before that, the site was the longtime home of Tokyo Gardens Japanese restaurant from 1966 to 1998.
