Avera Breaks Ground on 143-Acre Bayport Logistics Park

Trey Odom, President, AVERA Cos.

HOUSTON — AVERA Companies is developing Bayport Logistics Park, a 143-acre, rail-served industrial complex in Pasadena on Houston’s east side.

The property sits east of Underwood Road, just south of Fairmont Parkway, within the Bayport Industrial District. It is conveniently located near both Barbour’s Cut and Bayport container terminals, enabling efficient and cost-effective drayage to and from the ports.

The site plan emphasizes flexibility so end users can tailor buildings to their needs. On-site amenities include Union Pacific rail service and pipeline access. The development will accommodate rail-served buildings ranging from 200,000 to 900,000 square feet, and non-rail-served buildings up to 1,000,000 square feet.

“We are excited about the development of Bayport Logistics Park. Prime industrial sites in the southeast submarket have become increasingly scarce, which is a significant challenge in an area with steady demand,” said Trey Odom, President and CEO of Houston-based AVERA.

Bayport Logistics Park will be AVERA’s second development in the immediate area, located just south of AVERA’s Bayport Industrial Park — a three-building project totaling 738,610 square feet.
