CONROE, Texas – NEORig, a manufacturer of land drilling rigs and oilfield equipment, has expanded its Conroe Business Park campus at 100 North FM 3083 East by adding 57,024 square feet of dedicated assembly space.

The addition, completed by Houston-based design/build firm KDW, doubles NEORig’s previous assembly capacity and is part of the company’s broader campus that includes approximately 250,000 square feet of manufacturing, finishing, and warehouse facilities. The site also supports more than 500,000 square feet of research and development space for product development and testing.

The expansion comes as demand for drilling rigs has risen sharply in recent years. The national rig count has climbed significantly, and West Texas Intermediate crude recently traded around $68 per barrel—well above the sub-$30 levels seen in early 2016—supporting increased activity across oilfield services and equipment manufacturing.

Industrial construction activity around Houston remains robust. According to NAI Partners’ second-quarter industrial report, more than 12 million square feet of new industrial construction is underway across the city, roughly double the amount recorded in the second quarter of 2017. That growth reflects strong market demand for additional manufacturing, distribution, and specialized industrial space.

In a related project at Conroe Business Park, KDW also completed a 78,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility for BAUER-Pileco, further illustrating growing investment in local industrial infrastructure.
