Energy Company Relocates Headquarters to Hines Building in Houston

San Felipe Place, a 17-story office building, was developed by Hines

HOUSTON — Renewable Biofuels is relocating its headquarters to San Felipe Place, a newly completed Hines office tower located near River Oaks inside Houston’s Inner Loop.

The company signed a lease for 7,033 square feet at San Felipe Place, a 167,000-square-foot Class A office building recently delivered by Hines. Brad Beasley and Clark Thompson of Colvill Office Properties represented the landlord in the transaction, while Angus Hughes of Cushman & Wakefield in Houston represented Renewable Biofuels.

Renewable Biofuels operates the largest biodiesel production facility in North America. Its multi-feedstock RBF Port Neches facility, situated in southeast Texas, benefits from deepwater access and supports the company’s large-scale production capabilities.

Biodiesel is manufactured from renewable feedstocks such as vegetable oils and animal fats and serves as a cleaner-burning alternative to petroleum-based diesel fuel, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supporting sustainable energy goals.

The company will move its offices from the Washington Avenue area to San Felipe Place, joining other tenants in the modern downtown-adjacent building.

Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, San Felipe Place stands 17 stories tall at 2229 San Felipe Street and holds a LEED Gold certification, reflecting its energy-efficient and sustainable design features.

Colvill Office Properties focuses on landlord representation for office buildings and currently oversees leasing and marketing for approximately 17 million square feet of Class A office space in the Houston market.
