HOUSTON — Avera Construction has begun work on a new 30,000-square-foot warehouse located on a 7.2-acre site in Deer Park, just under 10 miles from the Port of Houston.

The project is a design-build contract for Atlas Copco Rental LLC, the Swedish manufacturer of industrial tools and equipment. The single-story metal facility will include dedicated office space and a large workshop to support equipment rental and maintenance operations.

Avera Construction secured the contract after competing against several bidders. Construction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2020.

Avera Construction operates as a core division of The Avera Companies, a Houston-based firm focused on development, construction and investment through partnership-driven projects.

Led by CEO Trey Odom, The Avera Companies also recently broke ground on Cedar Port Logistics, a 644,000-square-foot, rail-served logistics development on the Grand Parkway in Baytown. That larger project is being developed in partnership with AEW Capital Management and is being marketed by NAI Partners.
