Wet Sounds Now Open in Rosenberg: Marine Audio & Boat Speakers

ROSENBERG, Texas – Wet Sounds, a manufacturer of high-performance marine and powersports audio systems, has opened a new facility in Rosenberg comprising 118,386 square feet of warehouse, fabrication and office space.

The design/build project was completed by Houston-based KDW and is located on a 27-acre site at 2975 Louise Street, roughly one mile north of the Southwest Freeway (Highway 59).

The property near Airport Avenue has been master planned to accommodate up to 275,000 square feet of additional development in the future.

Founded in 2005, Wet Sounds produces high-end marine and powersports amplifiers, soundbars and subwoofers, and also offers audio-powered coolers and related accessories. The company is currently relocating from southwest Houston and employs 45 staff across its warehouse, fabrication and office functions.

The new Wet Sounds facility is part of a broader trend of expansion to the southwest of Houston into Fort Bend County. Located about 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston, Fort Bend County emphasizes its diversity and inclusive community character, and growth is accelerating beyond the established hub of Sugar Land.

With development in Sugar Land approaching saturation, residential and commercial activity is increasing in the Rosenberg–Richmond market. Both cities have recorded significant economic development wins during the past year. One large incoming project is Dollar Tree’s new roughly 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Rosenberg.

Another recent local project is Biotics Research Corp., a nutritional supplement company that is constructing a new corporate headquarters, research facility, warehouse and distribution center in the City of Rosenberg. That project will create an 87,569-square-foot facility within the Rosenberg Business Park, according to the Fort Bend Economic Development Council.
