HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – NAI Partners has arranged a 41,866-square-foot industrial lease for Henry Avocado Corporation at 4300 Windfern Road in Houston.
NAI Partners brokers Darren O’Conor and John Ferruzzo represented the tenant in the transaction.
Headquartered in Escondido, California, Henry Avocado Corporation is a year-round grower and distributor of Hass avocados, with sales offices in Fullerton, California; San Antonio; and Houston.
Henry Avocado was founded in 1925 by Charles and Florence Henry, early pioneers in avocado cultivation in San Diego County.
As a year-round distributor, the company grows and packs fruit from its California groves and imports avocados from growers in Mexico, Peru and Chile.
Botanical and historical research indicates the avocado tree originated in south-central Mexico. Its scientific name is Persea americana.
Botanically, the avocado is classified as a large berry containing a single seed.
