Cowboy Boot Store Coming to Rosenberg, Texas — Opening Soon

ROSENBERG, Texas – (Realty News Report) – The Cavender’s Boot City organization has acquired land in Rosenberg, in Houston’s southwestern suburbs, where a new store will offer authentic Texas footwear.

Cavender’s purchased 1.75 acres in Village Crossing – Rosenberg to build a new Cavender’s Boot City in a fast-growing market that still honors Texas traditions of cattle, ranching and boots.

“In a climate where daily we are reading about retail bankruptcies and restructuring, there are still retailers going strong and expanding in the Houston region, as well as new developments kicking off,” says real estate broker Jennifer Raymond, head of Texas-based JPR Commercial Real Estate.

Cavender’s is the first tenant signed for Village Crossing – Rosenberg, a new mixed-use development on 108 acres in Fort Bend County.

The site sits along US 59 between Reading Road and FM 2218, providing strong regional visibility and easy access for customers.

Cavender’s is a family-owned western and workwear retailer headquartered in Tyler, Texas. Founded by James R. Cavender in 1965, the business is now managed by his sons Joe, Mike and Clay Cavender, who oversee day-to-day operations of Boot City.

The Cavender family lives the western lifestyle, operating working ranches in Texas and Oklahoma that raise Brangus and Charolais cattle. Over the decades Cavender’s has grown into a leading western-wear retailer across the American South and Southwest, with 90 locations in 12 states.

“We’ve had many loyal customers over the years, driving to our stores from the Rosenberg, Richmond, Sugar Land area. This area is growing, and we are excited to be part of the community,” says Mike Cavender. The new store is expected to open in July.

Rosenberg, a city of roughly 40,000 residents, has expanded by about 25 percent since 2010 and continues to grow thanks to its focus on workforce training, education and a business-friendly environment. The city also features a historic downtown district that draws visitors and residents alike.

Sharon Biles of Sabre Properties assisted Cavender’s with the land purchase, while Jennifer Raymond of JPR Commercial Real Estate represented the seller. Village Crossing is owned by Village Crossing, LLC, a family-owned entity. Future phases of the development are planned to include retail, office, medical, entertainment and senior housing components, creating a true mixed-use community hub.
