HOUSTON — NewQuest Crosswell has unveiled plans to develop a 150,000-square-foot retail center along U.S. Highway 59 in the Kingwood area northeast of Houston.

The proposed development will occupy a 35-acre parcel near Kingwood Parc Drive, positioned between Loop 494 and Highway 59. The retail center is slated to include multiple restaurants and a primary grocery anchor of approximately 100,000 square feet.

According to Allen Crosswell, the developer’s managing principal, Houston-based NewQuest Crosswell has an established track record of developing shopping centers anchored by Kroger. Crosswell discussed the company’s experience and the new Kingwood project while speaking at the recent BoyarMiller Real Estate Forum.

This announcement reflects NewQuest Crosswell’s continued expansion in the Houston area and its focus on large-format grocery-anchored retail projects that serve growing suburban communities.
