Griffin Partners Acquires Loop Central Office Complex in Major Deal
Loop Central
HOUSTON – The Loop Central office complex has been purchased by Griffin Partners. The seller was TIER REIT Inc., a Dallas-based real estate investment trust.
Located on the east side of Loop 610 just south of Westpark and near Bellaire, the three-building complex totals approximately 575,000 square feet.
Currently about 84 percent leased, the property had been owned by the REIT since 2007. The three buildings were completed in the early 1980s: Loop Central One in 1980, Loop Central Two in 1981, and Loop Central Three in 1982. HFF served as the broker for the transaction.
Griffin Partners is a Houston-based real estate firm founded in 1980 by Fred Griffin, a former executive with Friendswood Development, which was a division of Exxon. The company was originally known as Griffin-Juban Companies, reflecting the partnership with Conley Juban.
