HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Flight Club, a British import bar and restaurant that has reinvented the traditional game of darts, has leased 8,500 square feet in Houston’s Inner Loop.
Flight Club is scheduled to open in late 2021 at Regent Square, a new mixed-use development near the intersection of West Dallas and Dunlavy in the Allen Parkway Corridor.
The Houston location will feature semi-private game spaces, an eclectic bar program led by award-winning bartender Peter Vestinos, and a menu curated by acclaimed Chicago chef Rich Gresh.
Houston marks the first Flight Club location in Texas for the British-based chain, which promotes itself as the birthplace of the Social Darts phenomenon.
“Houston is an incredibly diverse city with a vibrant food and drink scene—we are so thrilled that our first Texas location will be in this market,” said Alan Cichon, U.S. President of State of Play, the chain’s operator. “Houston has shown remarkable resilience, and we look forward to becoming part of the culture that makes this city unique.”
Flight Club combines social gaming with bespoke technology and generous, well-designed spaces. Paired with award-winning dishes and cocktails, the concept aims to deliver an immersive and flavorful experience. Honoring the British tradition of darts while reimagining pub games, Flight Club can accommodate groups ranging from six to 400 people.
“Everything is bigger in Texas—including our concept,” Cichon added.
Since its launch in October 2015, patrons worldwide have thrown more than 160 million darts, with over 2 million people participating. Chicago-based State of Play is the exclusive operating partner for Flight Club across North America.
State of Play develops and operates technology-enabled experiential leisure concepts. Since launching its first concept, Bounce, in London in 2012, the team has created, launched, and managed several additional experiential venues.
Regent Square is being developed south of Buffalo Bayou, close to the Montrose and River Oaks neighborhoods. The project will include approximately 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 200,000 square feet of offices, 1,500 residences, and parking for about 4,200 vehicles, both valet and self-park.
Arch-Con Corp. serves as the general contractor for Regent Square, which was designed by CBT, a Boston-based architecture firm. A large portion of the 24-acre Regent Square site was formerly occupied by the Allen House apartments.
