Texas City: BTR Community Opens

BTR Community Opens in Texas City

In Texas City, Texas, Wan Bridge, a Houston-based builder specializing in Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities has opened Crystal View of Lago Mar in Texas City near Galveston.

The neighborhood will have two-story, duplex and triplex homes designed, ranging from 1,429 to 1,883 SF. There are currently 76 units available with an additional 75 coming by the end of 2024.

“Texas City is primed for positive population and economic growth and the Wan Bridge family is going to help foster this exciting opportunity with a coastal, residential living experience that anyone can call home,” said Ting Qiao, CEO of Wan Bridge.

Wan Bridge is a Texas-based builder and operator of build-to-rent (BTR) communities across the Lone Star State, developing communities in Austin, Dallas and Houston.

The growth of the Wan Bridge firm has been backed by international investors, as stated by Qiao, who was born in Beijing and worked in the housing industry in Asia.

In The Ceo says the name Wan Bridge comes from Mr. Bin Wan, one of co, founders and the name “Bridge” comes from another partner called Bridge Tower.

In 2021, the BTR segment received a lift when Wall Street Journal reported the now-famous anecdote of the new Amber Pines at Fosters Ridge subdivision in Conroe, north of Houston. The builder, D.R. Horton, built 124 homes there and rented them, then put the entire block up for sale. Major investors surged to the opportunity, which eventually was purchased by Fundrise LLC for $32 million. The price was about twice as much as D.R. Horton could have received in traditional one-by-one sales to individual home buyers, the Journal reported.
