HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Colliers, a global commercial real estate services firm, has signed a long-term lease renewal and expansion at Park Towers, a Class A office complex along Loop 610 in the Uptown Houston submarket.
Colliers’ expanded footprint at Park Towers now totals 36,954 square feet in the two-building, 552,782-square-foot office campus located at 1233 W. Loop South.
The landlord, Regent Properties, was represented in the transaction by Transwestern Real Estate Services’ team: Managing Director Doug Little, Executive Vice President David Baker, Vice President Kelli Gault and Associate Jack Scharnberg.
“Park Towers’ amenitized campus and its premier location within the highly sought-after Uptown submarket offer a strong opportunity for tenants who want to provide employees with a best-in-class work environment,” said Doug Little. “The property’s location, efficient floorplates, building signage and visibility were key factors in Colliers’ decision to renew and expand their lease.”
Colliers was represented by Jay Kyle, executive director and principal with Colliers, which has occupied space in Park Towers for eight years.
“We chose Park Towers in 2013 because of its easy access, efficient layout, alignment with our brand and the strong relationship we had with the landlord,” said Pat Duffy, President of Colliers Houston. “Regent has proven to be an excellent successor landlord that understands the needs of Class A office users. We are excited to continue our growth at Park Towers.”
In addition to Colliers, the Transwestern leasing team recently completed approximately 44,000 square feet of new leases at Park Towers for tenants including Woodforest Bank, Clarkson Platou Shipping Services, iHeartMedia and Ortec Consulting.
Park Towers sits near the Uptown Park shopping center and Memorial Park, providing convenient amenities and access to retail and recreation. Regent Properties recently finalized plans with Starbucks to develop a drive-thru location at the corner of Post Oak Boulevard and Post Oak Park Drive, further enhancing neighborhood services.
“Our vision for Park Towers is to deliver a Regent experience that pairs enhanced, first-class amenities with a high-quality Class A project,” said Matthew Benbassat, Chief Operating Officer of Regent Properties. “We’re pleased Colliers has recognized these offerings through their renewal and expansion.”
Built in the early 1970s, Park Towers was one of the first major office developments along Loop 610 in what later became known as the Galleria Area and now Uptown Houston. In 2016, a $16 million renovation was announced to modernize the campus and upgrade building systems and common areas.
