Fitness-Focused Tenants Lease Ground-Floor Retail in The Woodlands Multifamily Project

The Two Lakes Edge multifamily project will open this early year in The Woodlands.

THE WOODLANDS – (Realty News Report) – Two fitness-focused tenants have leased ground-level retail space at the new Two Lakes Edge multifamily community, which is scheduled to open in spring 2020 in The Woodlands, Howard Hughes Corp. announced.

Situated along the shores of 200-acre Lake Woodlands, the 386-unit Two Lakes Edge development offers modern apartment living in a prime waterfront location within Hughes Landing.

With an average unit size of 997 square feet, Two Lakes Edge features a diverse mix of floor plans, including studio micro-units as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. This building is the second multifamily residence developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation in Hughes Landing.

Retail and fitness tenants:

StretchLab will occupy 1,519 square feet. The national stretch studio provides one-on-one assisted stretching sessions led by certified “Flexologists.” Services are tailored to improve sports performance, increase flexibility and range of motion, reduce muscle and joint pain, enhance posture, promote relaxation and relieve stress.

Row House will occupy 2,197 square feet. Row House is an indoor rowing studio offering energetic, instructor-led classes that combine low-impact cardio, resistance training, stretching and rhythm-based rowing. The workouts are effort-focused, minimize joint stress and engage more than 85% of the body’s muscles, delivering a high-calorie burn while accommodating a wide range of fitness levels.

Additional street-level retail and a restaurant are planned for the ground floor of Two Lakes Edge, which sits within the 79-acre Hughes Landing mixed-use development.

Rip Reynolds, Vice President of Leasing and Commercial Land for The Howard Hughes Corp., said these national-brand fitness operators will provide convenient health and wellness options for residents, office tenants and visitors in the walkable, scenic setting of Hughes Landing.

Hughes Landing showcases a variety of retail and dining options along Restaurant Row, multiple specialty retailers, an Embassy Suites by Hilton, the Lakes Edge Boat House, outdoor sculpture installations, a band shell for live entertainment, Class A office space and One Lakes Edge, the first multifamily project within Hughes Landing, which is currently 94% occupied.

The Woodlands is a 28,000-acre master-planned community located 27 miles north of downtown Houston. The community is home to more than 117,000 residents and supports nearly 68,000 jobs.
