Lionstone Investments Relocates HQ to Historic Downtown Landmark
712 Main Street in Houston
HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Lionstone Investments, based in Houston, has moved its headquarters into the historic 712 Main Street building, an asset the firm owns through a joint venture.
“We selected 712 Main for its premier location and its historical importance,” said Lionstone President Jane Page. “Since acquiring the 1929-era building in late 2013, we have been committed to its revitalization. We are proud to occupy a technologically advanced office space housed within an architecturally authentic Art Deco exterior.”
Ziegler Cooper led the interior design, and Arch-Con Corp. completed the construction of the firm’s 22,145-square-foot office.
Lionstone operates as an independent subsidiary of Columbia Threadneedle Investments, which acquired the firm in November 2017. After visiting Columbia Threadneedle’s London offices, Lionstone adopted a fully open-plan layout to encourage collaboration and improve access to leadership.
Lionstone’s Den
About one-quarter of the 25th floor is devoted to a flexible space called the “Den.” This multi-purpose room can host the entire company for monthly meetings and special events. It includes kitchen facilities, plentiful seating, and a stage with professional lighting, large video screens, and high-end audiovisual technology.
“The Den enables everyone at the firm to present ideas and materials at the highest standard,” said John Schaefer, the project’s manager and Lionstone’s head of land and development. “In an organization that values curiosity and the sharing of expertise, this feature is particularly important.”
