HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Vroom, an online automotive retailer, has leased 102,492 square feet in the Westchase Park II office building in west Houston.
The property at 3600 West Sam Houston Parkway South is now approximately 92 percent occupied, according to Transwestern Real Estate Services. The transaction backfilled two floors of previously available space.
Transwestern brokers Eric Anderson, Parker Burkett and Katy Gragg represented the building’s owner, Clarion Partners. JLL’s Louie Crapitto represented Vroom. This sizable lease is a notable transaction for the Houston office market, which has seen rising vacancy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Westchase Park is a Class A office complex totaling 569,825 square feet across two buildings. The campus includes a freestanding amenity center featuring a Citrus Kitchen restaurant, a fitness center and a tenant conference center.
Building I at 3700 West Sam Houston Parkway South is currently about 69 percent leased and occupied, presenting another substantial block of space that could accommodate a large office tenant. A number of office properties are located along the Sam Houston Tollway.
“We look forward to having Vroom as a tenant to take advantage of the exceptional amenities and access offered at Westchase Park,” said Eric Anderson, executive vice president with Transwestern.
Transwestern is a privately held company founded in 1978 with 34 offices across the United States.
