HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Hewlett Packard Enterprise will develop a 568,000-square-foot campus in Springwoods Village.
The project, announced by the joint venture of Patrinely Group, USAA Real Estate and CDC Houston, is set to break ground in the fourth quarter of next year at CityPlace at Springwoods Village in north Harris County.
This campus will be the fourth major corporate presence at CityPlace, joining HP Inc., Southwestern Energy and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
The HPE development will feature two buildings situated at the southwest corner of East Mossy Oaks Road and Lake Plaza Drive.
Designed as a primary hub for core research and development, the HPE Houston site will also support customer engagement, sales operations, supply chain functions and global corporate services such as finance, human resources and marketing.
Antonio Neri, President and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, explained: “Houston remains a top location for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. We asked our employees what they wanted in a new site: a vibrant setting, access to amenities and major highways, and proximity to where they live. CityPlace met all of those requirements.”
Ronnie Deyo and Beau Bellow of JLL represented HPE in the transaction. Dennis Tarro of Patrinely Group, together with Chrissy Wilson and Russell Hodges of JLL, represented the landlord.
“Securing the opportunity to develop HPE’s campus underscores CityPlace’s appeal. We are building a distinctive, walkable mixed‑use destination,” said Robert Fields, President and CEO of Patrinely Group, the managing partner in the joint venture.
CityPlace is a 60-acre mixed‑use development located near Interstate 45 and the Grand Parkway corridor, in close proximity to the ExxonMobil campus. When fully realized, CityPlace will include approximately 4 million square feet of Class A office space, 400,000 square feet of retail, a full-service Marriott hotel, a Star Cinema Grill and multiple multifamily projects. CityPlace serves as the commercial urban core of Springwoods Village, a 2,000-acre master‑planned community north of Houston and south of The Woodlands. ExxonMobil’s 385‑acre campus, with roughly 3 million square feet of space, brings about 10,000 employees to the area.
Already completed at CityPlace are The Mark CityPlace, a luxury apartment community developed by Fein; the Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village, which includes SwitchHouse Plates & Pours; and CityPlace Plaza, a public gathering space with an activated open area and an amphitheatre suitable for private and public events. Scheduled to open in the fall are the ABS headquarters and HP Plaza, a two‑building office campus.
Construction has also begun on CityPlace 1, which will provide 122,700 square feet of office space and 26,900 square feet of ground‑floor retail, and on the CityPlace Mixed Use project, which will include Star Cinema Grill.
