Oiltanking North America LLC leased 23,652 SF in the Murphy Building, 9805 Katy Freeway in Memorial City.
HOUSTON — Oiltanking North America LLC has leased 23,652 square feet in the Murphy Building at 9805 Katy Freeway in Memorial City, a development by MetroNational.
The company plans to relocate to Memorial City later this year from its current offices at Three Allen Center in downtown Houston.
MetroNational’s Brad MacDougall and Warren Alexander represented the landlord in the transaction. Andy Iversen, John Luck and Audrey Selber of Newmark Knight Frank represented Oiltanking North America.
Oiltanking North America is one of the largest independent operators of tank terminals in the country, providing storage and handling facilities for chemicals, biofuels and gases. The company’s move to Memorial City positions it within a major Houston business and retail hub.
Memorial City is a 265-acre mixed-use development that includes nine million square feet of space. The project offers Class A office buildings, a wide range of retail options anchored by Memorial City Mall, mid-rise apartment communities, and two hotels: The Westin Memorial City and Hotel ZaZa Memorial City. The campus is also home to the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, creating a concentrated center for business, shopping, hospitality and healthcare.
This lease underscores ongoing demand for premium office space within well-planned, amenity-rich developments that combine commercial, residential and medical uses, making Memorial City an attractive location for corporate tenants seeking connectivity and conveniences for employees and clients.
