Florida Investor Purchases Hilton and Marriott (870 Rooms) in Greenspoint

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Driftwood Hospitality Management, based in North Palm Beach, Florida, has acquired two notable hotels in Houston’s Greenspoint neighborhood: the 480-room Hilton Houston North and the 390-room Marriott Houston North.

Both properties will undergo comprehensive renovations under Driftwood’s management. At the Hilton, located at 12400 Greenspoint Drive, all guest rooms and public areas will be updated. The Marriott, at 255 N. Sam Houston Parkway East, will similarly receive a full renovation to modernize its amenities and guest experience.

“Driftwood Hospitality Management has grown significantly over the past several years, and we are eager to expand our presence throughout Texas,” said David Buddemeyer, president of Driftwood Hospitality Management. “Houston is a major, evolving market, and we look forward to integrating these properties into our portfolio and contributing to the city’s dynamic hospitality scene.”

The Hilton property sits within Lincoln Property Company’s CityNorth development, a campus comprising six buildings and more than two million square feet of combined office and retail space. Lincoln Property Company has announced plans to invest approximately $100 million in renovations and upgrades across the CityNorth campus.

Driftwood manages properties for national franchise brands and resort destinations across the United States and in Costa Rica. In addition to its headquarters in North Palm Beach, the company maintains offices in Miami, Arizona and Costa Rica to support operations domestically and internationally.

The Hilton North Houston is a 15-story building rising approximately 183 feet. It features 52,000 square feet of meeting space and a 40,000-square-foot atrium that houses the lobby, dining outlets and additional guest facilities.

Marriott North Houston is composed of a central 12-story tower adjacent to an eight-story tower, with a detached two-story parking garage. The property offers roughly 15,990 square feet of meeting and event space.
