HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Anchor Workspace has leased 17,600 square feet in the 20 Greenway Plaza building for a new coworking facility.
Anchor Workspace was represented by Cresa principals Sue Rogers and Steven Heal. The landlord’s team from CBRE included Marilyn Guion, Steve Rocher and Trey Comiskey. Anchor Workspace is a Houston-based firm led by owner Jan Paape.
“Landlords are seeking workspace providers who not only occupy space but also add value as an amenity for their tenants,” said Sue Rogers, a principal in Cresa’s Houston office. “Having coworking space available within a building can be a real advantage for potential tenants who may be looking to expand soon or need short-term project space that the landlord cannot provide.”
“Flexibility isn’t just for startups anymore,” said Anchor Workspace owner Jan Paape. “The real estate needs of today’s workforce are evolving, and occupiers want options as they adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.”
“Not everyone seeks the same coworking experience,” Paape added. “We aimed to design a balanced environment that serves a broad range of corporate users and demographics. Across these groups, the common priorities are flexibility, location and amenities — and that is what we deliver.”
Anchor Workspace is a privately held provider with more than 30 years of experience in the Houston market. The firm is expanding its presence with a hybrid coworking model that blends private offices and open, collaborative areas. The new space will feature upgraded finishes, ample natural light, premium services and walkability to local neighborhood amenities. It will also include food-service areas and a private patio suitable for events.
The project architect was PDR, and the general contractor was Miller Lapoint.
