DALLAS – Hines plans to develop a 39-story, 344-unit apartment tower within the 75-acre Victory Park complex created by Hillwood near downtown Dallas.

The 500,000-square-foot residential project, named The Victor, will be located directly across the street from the American Airlines Center arena.

Designed by Houston-based architecture firm Munoz + Albin, the building will include about 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

“As a partner in the development of One Victory Park office tower, Hines has valued its involvement with Victory Park and we look forward to committing additional capital in the area,” said Ben Brewer, managing director.

While rooted in modern design, The Victor will soften strict modernist lines to create warm, livable environments. Each single-level floor plan will emphasize openness and natural light, featuring 10-foot ceilings and private balconies.

“Our design is strongly inspired by Dallas’s vibrant arts and culture scene. We have incorporated a number of commissioned works to bring local and international art into shared living spaces,” said Eric Ragni, AIA, principal of Houston-based MaRS, the project’s interior architect.

The tower will offer 18 penthouse residences on levels 37 through 39, with sizes ranging from approximately 1,800 to 3,000 square feet.
