HOUSTON – Colvill Office Properties has finalized a long-term renewal lease with Gibbs & Bruns, LLP for 40,836 square feet at 1100 Louisiana, a 1,265,332-square-foot Class A office tower in downtown Houston.
Gibbs & Bruns, a boutique litigation firm focused exclusively on high-stakes business and commercial cases, has occupied two full floors of the building since 1999. The 55-story tower earned the Building Owners and Managers Association’s Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) regional award in the Over 1 Million SF category in 2017 and has held LEED Gold certification since 2009.
Jay Holland of Informetrics represented Gibbs & Bruns in the lease renewal. Chip Colvill and Paula Bruns of Colvill Office Properties acted on behalf of the building owner, Fantome Tower, LP. The property is professionally managed by Hines.
Completed in 1980 and developed by Hines, 1100 Louisiana was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and features a Spanish Rose Granite façade and an open plaza. The tower connects to Houston’s downtown tunnel system and includes substantial street-level and concourse retail space.
Colvill Office Properties focuses on landlord representation for office buildings and currently manages leasing and marketing for approximately 17 million square feet of Class A office space in Houston. The firm leases roughly 13 percent of the city’s Class A inventory and about 32 percent of office space in the Central Business District.
