HOUSTON – Land Tejas, a Houston-based developer, has purchased 1,039 acres west of the Grand Parkway near Clay Road to build a master-planned community of more than 3,000 homes.
Home sites from the first phase are scheduled for delivery in 2021. CBA Land Capital is an equity partner in the acquisition. The site is located north of Interstate 10 within the Katy Independent School District and spans both Harris and Waller counties.
Since its founding in 1997, Land Tejas has developed numerous communities across the Houston region. Active and completed projects include Bridge Creek, Etteridge, Lago Mar, Miramesa, Sierra Vista, Sterling Lakes, Vanbrooke and Wedgewood Forest, along with top-selling communities Harmony in Spring and Balmoral in Humble.
The developer has not yet announced a name for the new project. James Henrie, Chief Operating Officer for Land Tejas, said, “We envision this as a premier community reflecting the successful home designs, amenities, and forward-thinking features that are hallmarks of a Land Tejas community.”
