HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Rand Stephens, Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young’s Houston office, announced the strategic hiring of Jimmy Board as Principal, Capital Markets in Houston. Board, who specializes in debt and equity, will expand the firm’s capital markets service line. He joins Avison Young from JLL. John Kevill, Principal and President of U.S. Capital Markets at Avison Young, has overseen growth in the firm’s investment sales, debt and equity capabilities.

John Spafford has joined CBRE as an Executive Vice President. He will continue to handle leasing responsibilities for two major Houston office towers: the 1.26 million-square-foot TC Energy Center in Downtown Houston and the 1.2 million-square-foot Marathon Oil Tower at 5555 San Felipe. Spafford most recently served as Executive Vice President and Director of Leasing for Madison Marquette in Houston, where he managed leasing across a 12 million-square-foot portfolio.

NAI Partners announced a promotion within its NAI Investment Fund: Adam Hawkins has been elevated to Vice President of Acquisitions. “Adam has played an instrumental role in establishing and growing the investment fund division,” said Andrew Pappas, Partner at NAI Partners and head of the NAI Investment Funds.

Central Houston, Inc., a membership organization that guides downtown redevelopment and revitalization, named Jonathan H. Brinsden, CEO of real estate development and investment firm Midway, as its 2020 board chair.

Houston-based Patrinely Group announced several promotions. Patrick Higgins was promoted to Chief Investment Officer. Based in the New York office, Higgins joins the executive management team and will lead new deal origination and execution across all Patrinely investment platforms, including the recently launched Patrinely Real Estate Fund II. Brian Tierney was promoted to Senior Development Manager in the Houston office and is currently working on a 400,000-square-foot CPS Energy development in downtown San Antonio.

Lauren Crenshaw was promoted to Senior Property Manager at Patrinely Group. Based in The Woodlands, she now oversees management responsibilities for a portfolio totaling 430,800 square feet.

Steven Seltzer, previously Vice President of Operations for National Projects at The Howard Hughes Corporation, will become President of Sheridan Commercial, a boutique commercial real estate advisory firm.

Cindy Simpson was named co-regional managing principal for Gensler’s South Central region. She will join Judy Pesek in overseeing Gensler offices in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Simpson will also continue as Co-Managing Director of the Dallas office alongside Steven Upchurch.

The Richland Companies announced two promotions in their Houston office: Raven Burleson has been promoted to Property Manager and Nancy Baugher to Accounting Manager.

Matthew Morris stepped down as President of Stewart Information Services Corp., a Houston-based company founded in 1893. Morris will remain on Stewart’s board of directors.

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Greg Brown has been named co-lead for JLL Capital Markets in the Orange County office. Brown will head the office’s debt and equity placement business, while Sean Deasy will continue to lead the investment advisory platform.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Crescent Communities promoted Brian Natwick to President and Chief Operating Officer. Natwick will oversee development and construction for the company’s multifamily and commercial businesses and will report to Todd Mansfield.
