Stream Realty Expands Staff as Industrial Warehouse Activity Surges

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Stream Realty Partners announced plans to double hiring in its industrial division by the end of next year as demand for industrial space continues to accelerate.

“We successfully lease and manage a 30 million square-foot portfolio of institutional-grade industrial assets in the Houston market. We attribute that achievement to our people — the cornerstone of our company. We want to continue that momentum by heavily investing in talented people across the platform,” said Justin Robinson, Partner at Stream.

Growth in e-commerce and shifting supply-chain needs are driving a surge in industrial real estate development nationwide, including in Houston. Major occupiers such as Amazon are adding significant distribution capacity, and developers are responding with new construction to meet expanding demand.

Year-to-date, Stream’s Houston industrial team closed 144 industrial transactions totaling more than 4.7 million square feet, including 15 deals over 100,000 square feet. That transaction volume positions this year to be Stream’s strongest ever in Houston.

“Despite many peer firms tapping the brakes, Stream’s Houston office is doubling down on growth, projecting over 100 percent increase in talent acquisition by year-end 2021,” the company said in a news release.

Stream’s industrial division has continued to expand its local team. After adding Managing Director Tyler Maner, the firm brought on Heath Donica, a former professional baseball player in the Oakland Athletics system, and Andrew Littlefield, formerly with Transwestern, as associates and analyst Davis Lamberton to strengthen tenant representation capabilities. William Carpenter joined from Boyd Commercial to support agency leasing and tenant representation efforts.

In addition to these hires, Stream indicated it will announce two experienced new hires by year-end; their names were not disclosed.

“The industrial real estate sector is growing and evolving dramatically, and Houston’s industrial market has grown and become more sophisticated as a result,” said Matteson Hamilton, Managing Director and Partner with Stream.

Stream Realty operates offices across Texas, including Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth, and maintains a presence in other major markets nationwide.
