Whole Foods with Robotic Briggo Coffee to Open in Midtown Houston

HOUSTON — Whole Foods Market, featuring a Briggo robotic coffee outlet, is set to open on November 7 at 515 Elgin Street. The store will occupy the ground floor of the new Pearl Marketplace apartment building, bringing grocery and specialty coffee service directly into Midtown.

Mixed-Use Midrise and Store Details

The mixed-use development, located at 3120 Smith Street, is a midrise building developed by MORGAN. The property includes 264 residential units—ranging from studios and urban one-bedrooms to standard one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts—positioned above a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market on the ground floor. The Midtown Whole Foods will operate daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Briggo: A Robotic Barista

The store will feature a Briggo coffee facility. Briggo is known for creating one of the first gourmet robotic baristas, combining automated coffee brewing with a branded café experience. Briggo units have already been deployed in a range of venues, including the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Briggo Coffee Hauses now serve customers in airports, convention centers, corporate offices, hospitals, and grocery stores across Austin, Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, and San Francisco.

About MORGAN

Over the past decades the company has developed more than 20,000 residential units, representing approximately $3.1 billion in development value. MORGAN maintains an active development presence across Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Florida.

Local Impact

The addition of a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods anchored by a Briggo coffee concept is expected to enhance Midtown’s retail mix and convenience for residents of Pearl Marketplace and neighboring properties. The combination of full-service grocery with quick, automated specialty coffee creates an appealing amenity for the building’s residents and the broader Midtown community.
