HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Wholesome Sweeteners has leased 349,050 square feet at Victory Commerce Center, located at 2851 East Pasadena Boulevard in Deer Park.
Wholesome Sweeteners was represented by Ryan Fuselier and Carl Mueller of JLL. Jon Lindenberger, Walter Menuet and Paul Dominique of Colliers International represented the landlord, Crow Holdings Industrial, in the transaction.
Wholesome Sweeteners, founded in Sugar Land, Texas in 2001, is an organic and non-GMO food company. While the company will keep its corporate headquarters in Sugar Land, the new facility at Victory Commerce Center will serve as its distribution and packaging center. Over the past 19 years Wholesome Sweeteners has grown into one of Texas’s leading organic food businesses, with additional operations in Colorado. The company is a major importer of natural, organic and fairly traded sweeteners in North America, and it distributes nationally and internationally through supermarkets, specialty food stores, warehouse clubs, food service channels, and as an ingredient supplier to large food manufacturers across the United States.
Victory Commerce Center sits within Houston’s East-Southeast Far industrial submarket, one of the region’s fastest-growing industrial areas, largely because of its close access to Port Houston and the Houston Ship Channel. Colliers reports that the East-Southeast submarket added more than 5 million square feet to its 79.5 million square foot inventory in 2019.
Additionally, Colliers notes that roughly 4.3 million square feet of new industrial space is currently under construction in the east submarket near the Port, signaling continued expansion in the area.
