Arch-Con Expands Into Denver: New Residential Projects Announced

DENVER – (Realty News Report) – Arch-Con Corporation, a Houston-based commercial general contractor, is expanding into Denver and will initially concentrate on industrial, office and multifamily projects.

The company has purchased an office in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood to serve as its Colorado headquarters and is in the process of hiring additional staff.

“Denver is a consistently dynamic commercial real estate market,” said Arch-Con Founder Michael G. Scheurich. “We wanted to invest in Arch-Con’s future here, and Cherry Creek is an ideal location.”

Founded in Houston in 2000, Arch-Con opened a Dallas office in 2016 and an Austin office in early 2021. The firm now says it is optimistic about growth opportunities in the Mile High City.

“Arch-Con has explored a presence in Denver since 2015,” Scheurich said. “We work with several Texas-based developers who do business in Denver, and Denver-based developers encouraged us to establish an office here. Arch-Con has constructed nearly 50 million square feet of tilt-wall warehouses over the past two decades, and Denver’s demand for this product type aligns well with our experience. Given Denver’s labor constraints and limited subcontractor resources, we plan to introduce new ideas to project execution.”

In addition to industrial buildings, Arch-Con’s portfolio includes hotels, medical facilities and retail developments, and the company intends to expand into other property types in Denver as projects develop.

Arch-Con is currently building its first industrial project in the Denver area and is engaged in preliminary pricing, site planning and pre-construction activities on multiple projects.

“Our expertise in the industrial construction process from concept to completion enables us to partner with clients rather than simply act as a service provider,” said Arch-Con Senior Vice President and Colorado Regional Manager Chris Heath. “We are fortunate to have experienced local leaders join our team who understand Denver well.”

Two Denver-based leaders, Vice President Chad Headlee and Project Developer Erin Kelley, recently joined Arch-Con’s Denver team.

Arch-Con holds general contractor licenses in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas and maintains offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and Denver.

In northwest Houston’s Cypress area, Arch-Con recently completed the four-story Doctors Pavilion on Huffmeister Road for Denver-based NexCore Group, a developer focused on healthcare and senior housing.

The firm also handled the redevelopment of the former Palace Bowling Lanes on Bellaire Boulevard, transforming the site into the Southside Commons mixed-use development.
