BELLAIRE, Texas — A historic restaurant building that originally housed a Taco Bell location in Texas has been sold.
The single-story, 1,260-square-foot property, notable for its red-tile roof, was constructed in 1967, according to Harris County Appraisal District records obtained by Realty News Report.
Taco Bell traces its beginnings to 1962, when the first location opened in Downey, California. By 1967 the chain had reached its 100th restaurant milestone. Since then Taco Bell has expanded worldwide and today operates thousands of locations globally.
For the past 14 years the Bellaire building at 5210 Bissonnet at Bellaire Boulevard had been home to Roadster Grill. That restaurant closed a few weeks ago, and the property was recently acquired by Sagstex Investments, led by Sion Saghian.
