THE WOODLANDS – (Realty News Report) – The Howard Hughes Corporation has added two new waterfront dining destinations at 20 Waterway Avenue, its dining and entertainment hub in The Woodlands.
The new outlets — Hearsay Gastrolounge and The Rose Lounge — both overlook The Woodlands Waterway, the scenic canal that winds through the master-planned community’s commercial core and mid-rise multifamily district.
Hearsay Gastrolounge, a restaurant and cocktail lounge that began in Houston, offers contemporary American dishes and specialty craft cocktails in an elegant, vintage-inspired setting. Describing itself as “half old world revival, half culinary crusaders,” Hearsay expands its footprint to The Woodlands with this location, which will be the brand’s fourth overall and follows two Houston locations plus a restaurant on the Strand in Galveston. The Woodlands location will include a charming terrace and will serve lunch and dinner daily, with weekend brunch service.
The Rose Lounge brings an elevated take on American fare with a Texas influence, paired with a lively entertainment experience along the Waterway. Created by restaurateurs Diego Manobanda and Washington Revelo, The Rose Lounge will occupy two levels and include a rooftop dining space that enhances its upscale atmosphere.
“Both of these concepts will be pertinent establishments in The Woodlands Waterway, further diversifying the dining and entertainment options that our residents, office users, and guests have in the Town Center,” said Jim Carman, president of the Houston Region of The Howard Hughes Corporation.
Hearsay Gastrolounge and The Rose Lounge will be situated adjacent to Cyclone Anaya’s Tex-Mex Kitchen and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, strengthening the concentration of popular dining choices at 20 Waterway Avenue.
The 20 Waterway Avenue development is a 24,258-square-foot dining and entertainment center that is fully leased. It sits close to Class A and AAA office buildings, multiple hotels including The Westin at The Woodlands, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, retail and dining destinations, public art installations, and Waterway Square, making it a focal point for workday traffic and visitors.
The Woodlands, a 28,000-acre master-planned community located about 27 miles north of downtown Houston and owned by The Howard Hughes Corporation, is home to roughly 118,000 residents and supports more than 68,000 jobs.
In addition to The Woodlands, The Howard Hughes Corporation manages several large planned communities nationwide, including Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills in the Houston region and Summerlin in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, the publicly traded company announced it was relocating its headquarters from Dallas to The Woodlands.
